Platinum : Gold 3 Month Ratio

The platinum: gold ratio is calculated by dividing the platinum price by the gold price and tells us the value of a certain weight of platinum relative to the same amount of gold.

It is particularly helpful in demonstrating whether or not a precious metal might be considered good value at its current price relative to other metals.

For example, throughout history platinum has usually been more expensive than gold, but the current ratio shows that right now this is not case, indicating that platinum is currently being undervalued.
