Description

This coin features the 5th portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. Piedfort coins are twice the thickness of standard coins. Only 2,675 coins issued by the Royal Mint.

This 2018 gold Proof Piedfort Sovereign coin has been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity.

This proof coin is provided in a Royal Mint case, complete with certificate of authenticity.
