Description

The 2023 Bull of Clarence 1oz gold coin is the third release in the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. Like the Queen's Beasts series, the collection will feature 10 'Beasts', this time consisting of statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court.

Designed by David Lawrence, the reverse side of the coin showcases the Bull of Clarence against a textured background resembling chain mail. This design is not only for visual appeal but also enhances security features as a protection against counterfeiting. The obverse side of the coin presents the official coinage portrait of His Majesty The King by Martin Jennings for the first time in the series.

The 2023 Bull of Clarence gold coin contains exactly 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams) of pure 999.9 gold. The coin will be in production for a few months until the next coin in the series is released, so collectors should purchase as soon as possible if they wish to get all coins in the series.

Very nice coin, quality and theme

It's about time the Royal Mint produced the bullion version of the new Kings Beasts coins because only offering them as proofs at almost double the gold value is a bit naughty. If they want to sell them, then bullion and proof coins need to be offered at the same time. I actually lost interest in collecting this set and happened upon this new release by chance whilst browsing the excellent bullionbypost website whose service has proven get again to be exemplary.
