Description

This 2016 box-set features a single gold proof Half Sovereign coin weighing 3.99 grams in 22-carat gold (91.67% fineness).

This proof has been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity. Complete with its own booklet, and bound in a good-looking case.
