Description

This gold Sovereign features the first portrait of Queen Victoria (aka, the Young Head) with St George and the dragon on the back, dated from 1871 to 1887. This is the first of three Victoria portraits, and the follow-up to the initial Victoria Sovereigns bearing the shield on the reverse rather than Pistrucci's St George.

Please note, as this product is our choice of year the image of the coin reverse above has been photoshopped to not show a date. You will receive a coin in a gift box from any year between 1871 and 1887.

This coin will be presented in an attractive black-velvet lined oak gift box.
