Description

The 2025 gold Double Sovereign £2 coin from The Royal Mint. The 2025 Double Sovereign features the official portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings, and the classic George and Dragon design by Pistrucci.

Like all Sovereigns, the 2025 gold Double Sovereign coin is struck in 22 carat gold per tradition weighing 15.96 grams, with a pure gold content of 14.64 grams.

The mint have confirmed that this will be the final year that the Sovereign range uses a ‘rose gold’ alloy (used in modern Sovereigns), and will instead return to a yellow gold alloy from next year.

Our 2025 gold Double Sovereign coins are supplied in a plastic capsule, tube, or monster box depending on the quantity ordered.
