Description

This gold Sovereign features the third and final Victoria portrait, commonly referred to as the 'Old Head', as she is depicted as an elderly monarch. This portrait was used from 1893 to 1901.

The coin features the traditional depiction of St George slaying the dragon on the reverse, and an older Queen Victoria - dressed in her mourning outfit following the death of her husband, Prince Albert.

Please note, as this product is our choice of year the image of the coin reverse above has been photoshopped to not show a date. You will our receive a coin in a gift box from any year between 1893 and 1901.

This coin will be presented in an attractive black-velvet lined oak gift box.
