PAMP Suisse is one of the largest refiners of Swiss gold bars, based in Castel San Pietro in the canton of Ticino. The company name stands for Produits Artistiques Métaux Précieux, and PAMP has been producing investment-grade gold bars since it was founded in 1977. Their bars are manufactured from 24 carat gold to a fineness of 999.9, and PAMP is on the LBMA Good Delivery List of approved refiners. PAMP is best known for being the first refinery to put a decorative motif on a gold bar - the Lady Fortuna design, launched in 1979, set the template that many other refiners now follow. Each PAMP gold bar typically features one of these iconic designs on the front, with the company logo, weight, fineness, an Essayeur Fondeur assay mark and a unique serial number on the reverse. PAMP is owned by the MKS PAMP Group, headquartered in Geneva.

PAMP Lady Fortuna Gold Bars

The Lady Fortuna design is the most recognised gold bar design in the world. Introduced by PAMP in 1979, it was the first ever decorative motif on a precious metal bar. The design shows the blindfolded Roman goddess Fortuna holding a cornucopia overflowing with coins - a classical symbol of fortune and prosperity. Lady Fortuna gold bars are available in a wide range of sizes and are PAMP's flagship investment product.

PAMP Rosa Gold Bars

The PAMP Rosa design features an elegant rose motif on the front of the bar, often chosen as a gift or to mark an occasion as well as for investment. Like the Lady Fortuna, the Rosa is a minted bar of 999.9 fine gold and is supplied in PAMP's distinctive blue CertiPAMP assay card with a matching certificate of authenticity.

PAMP Lunar Series Gold Bars

The PAMP Lunar series is a yearly release featuring the animals of the Chinese zodiac - the Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Horse and so on, depending on the year of issue. Each release is a limited-edition minted bar, sealed in PAMP's CertiPAMP assay card. The series appeals both to investors looking for 999.9 fine gold and to collectors building a Lunar set across the years.

PAMP Gold Bar Serial Numbers

Every new PAMP gold bar is stamped with a unique serial number and supplied in PAMP's distinctive blue CertiPAMP assay card. PAMP also operates a system called VERISCAN, which uses microscopic surface patterns to verify selected bars - although VERISCAN is not available on every product line, and a serial number alone cannot confirm a gold bar is genuine. We always recommend buying only from reputable bullion dealers that guarantee authenticity. The resale value of a PAMP gold bar is not affected by removing it from the CertiPAMP card, although bars are easier to sell when the packaging is intact. When selling, the buyer will normally need to remove the bar to test purity using an XRF analysis device. The price you receive is determined by the weight of the bar and the current spot price of gold.
