The coin is dated 2023 to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, the design features the 2 lovable droids who have made more appearances in the Star Wars franchise than any other characters. The R2-D2 and C-3PO 1/4oz gold proof coin is the first of four coins dedicated to iconic duos from the Star Wars franchise.
