Description

The 2023 1oz silver Libertad coin is the latest release in the Mexican Libertad series, minted at Casa de Moneda de México. The coin's obverse features the national coat of arms surrounded by historical coats of arms used throughout Mexico's history. The reverse portrays the Winged Victory statue a symbol of triumph and freedom, and of Mexico's accession from Spain. In the background are two Mexican volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl, central figures in a tragic love story where ill-fated lovers were turned into mountains by the Aztec gods.

The 2023 Libertad contains exactly 1 troy ounce of 999 fine silver, and is packaged in individual coin capsules or in tubes of 25.
