Description

The Royal Mint’s celebrated St George and the Dragon Bullion Coin Collection continues in 2025 with a powerful new design. This second release in the series draws upon a remastered interpretation of George Kruger Gray’s 1935 concept, originally created to mark King George V’s Silver Jubilee. Although never issued at the time, the design now finds its place in modern numismatics.

The 2025 George & the Dragon 1oz gold coin features a bold portrayal of the legendary battle between England’s patron saint and the mythical dragon, symbolising the triumph of good over evil. Struck in 999.9 fine gold the coin has a face value of £100.
