Description

The 2027 1oz Year of the Sheep Proof gold coin from The Royal Mint's Shengxiào Collection series of lunar coins.

This coin celebrates the Year of the Sheep and the reverse of the coin features a design by Chris Costello of a modern depiction of a sheep against a backdrop of a peaceful countryside. The obverse of the coin features the official portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

The sheep in Chinese astrology carries connotations of good fortune, kindness and gentleness, filial piety and gratitude, as well as prosperity and abundance. People born in the Year of the Sheep are often seen as kind-hearted and resilient.

This 2027 Year of the Sheep one ounce coin is struck in 999.9 pure gold. It is presented in a handsome presentation box and comes with a certificate of authenticity and full colour booklet on the Chinese lunar sheep.

Only 388 coins are available in this limited edition presentation.
