Description

A 1982 gold proof Sovereign four-coin set from The Royal Mint. This set contains a Quintuple Sovereign, Double Sovereign, Full Sovereign and Half Sovereign coin.

These proofs have been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity. Complete with its own Certificate of Authenticity.
