In 2007 the Royal Mint issued a commemorative £2 proof gold coin to celebrate 300 years of the Act of Union between England and Scotland. Only 750 of these coins were issued. No box or certificate .

It features four jigsaw components; two with the Portcullis design to represent the governments, and two pieces for each of the English Rose and Scottish Thistle.
