Description

A beautiful 2025 gold Proof Half Sovereign, presented in a box with numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The 2025 Proof Half Sovereign features a special recreation of the Royal Arms Shield design by Jean Baptiste Merlen on the reverse, featured 200 years ago on the 1825 Sovereign. The obverse of the coin features the official effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings. The mint have also confirmed the 2025 Sovereign range will be the final year to use rose gold, and will return to a yellow gold alloy from next year.

Per tradition, the 2025 Proof Half Sovereign is struck with 22-carat (916.7 fine) gold, and weighs 3.99 grams. Limited Presentation of 1,500, and struck to the highest proof standard available from The Royal Mint.
