The 2014 gold proof Sovereign coin from The Royal Mint.

This coin weighs the same as a regular (or bullion) Sovereign, at 7.98 grams and is struck in 22-carat gold (91.67% fineness).

This 2014 proof Sovereign has been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity. Complete with its own booklet/Certificate of Authenticity.
