The obverse of the 2026 Year of the Horse 1/4oz Gold Perth Mint Lunar Coin features the 1st head of King Charles III facing left, designed by Dan Thorne. The weight, purity and face value of 25 Australian dollars can be seen at the bottom of the coin.

The reverse of the 2026 Year of the Horse Perth Mint Lunar 1/4oz Gold Coin features a dramatic image of horse rearing up, designed by Ing Ing Jong, with a background of mountains and grassy plains. It includes the inscription ‘HORSE 2026,’ the Chinese character for horse, and the Perth Mint's P mint mark.
