Description

The Mexican Libertad 1oz gold coin, produced by La Casa de Moneda de Mexico on behalf of the country's central bank, Banco de México.

This beautiful gold one-ounce coin features the Angel of Independence on its reverse side. The angel is a major symbol in Mexican history, relating to the fight for its independence from Spain. The angel stands in front of a landscape featuring two of Mexico's volcanoes: Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl.

The coin's obverse bears Mexico's coat of arms, with previous national coats of arms surrounding it.

The gold Libertad is struck in pure .9999 gold and contains 31.1 grams of fine gold.
